Divide teams into group

Superior

  • It is only possible to schedule teams which are divided into a group.
  • You can easily switch group between two teams (and eventually matches) by dragging a team onto one other.
  • Number of matches for a team can only be set at category level That is, if category M is set with 1 league team (all against all once), all groups in this category will play equal. The only situation which is different, is if a group has 3 teams; Then the system suggest this group to play double league (all against all twice).
  • Here is more info about vacant team!

Groups - Basics

  1. It is not possible to add, edit or delete teams inside TXO. This must be done by the registration admin site. When changes are done, TXO will update and reflect the changes. BUT: It is possible to add vacant teams (just to fill a group with more teams).
  2. Click on a row to select a category...
  3. ...and enter number of matches for each team to play (or number of series). This makes it possible to set each team to play i.e. 4 matches even if there are 10 teams in the group. TXO will avoid teams from same club to play each other, if possible.
  4. Divide the selected category into groups based on number of teams each group. TXO will avoid teams from same club to be in same group, if possible.
  5. The team is divided into x number of groups (this picture is shown after manual changing of groups).

Groups - A bit more advanced

  1. It is possible to increase or decrease number of groups. If you do this, teams must be dragged to the correct group by manual.
  2. Two groups can be switch for whatever reason. Then all teams in group X will switch with teams in group Y.
  3. If groups must be reassigned, and matches deleted, use this button. Often, the reason is that teams in category is changed so much that nothing is correct.
  4. If you know teams will register later, you can make a vacant team. This vacant team behave as a ordinary team in the match schedule. When new team is registred, TXO will try to switch these teams and matches are updated.
  5. Delete vacant teams if you do not need them! If vacant team has matches, the matches will be deleted.
  6. Group can have special names (often used with sponsors) and groups can be set to use numbers and not letters (Group 1 - Group A)
  7. The ordering of the teams can be saved as a "seeding-list". This is rarely used.
  8. You can join two or more categories. Then, all teams will be moved into the category which shall remain. NOTE: Do not change categories in the registration site. Let teams register into correct category.
  9. Open a new window i order to send email or sms to selected team leaders.
  10. Reload data from registration site. NOTE: This is done by automatic when entering menu "Basic data".

Rearrange team

  1. You can move one team from a group to another.
  2. You can switch two teams by dropping a team onto one other. If matches exists, they will update with correct teams.
  3. Unassigned teams can not be scheduled. They will show up in this box.

Change who to play an extra match

If the group is set to play 3 (or another odd number of matches) AND there are 5 (or another odd number of teams), one team has to play one more match than the others. You can change which team shall play this extra match.

  1. NOTE: The matches must have been scheduled first!
  2. Here; Norwich has 4 matches and we want Arsenal to play 4 matches instead.
  3. Just drag Arsenal and drop onto Norwich. These two teams will now switch matches.

Symbolic in group boxes

NOTE: Not shown in image, but a team can have this sign, $, in front of the name. This shows that the team has not paid the registration fee (or more precise, is not registered to have paid). Some tournaments deny teams which have not paid to participate.

  1. Name of the team
  2. Skill level (if set)
  3. Original category (if categories are joined)
  4. Number of matches
