Team replace - Consequences

Team A is withdrawn - Replaced by vacant

Team A is withdrawn, eighter from APP or softdeleted in PL. Team A will be replaced by automatic with a vacant team in PL. When soft deleting a team in PL, a limit date can be set. This limit date will flag matches to be archived. A solft deleted team will just be flagged in APP, so third party system will still get data about this team (typical for payments).

Limit date superior

  • Limit date can be chosen in PL when soft deleting a team.
  • A limit date will influence on how the matches are deleted in public web and type of status in PL.
  • Public site (APP): Matches before the limit date will remain unchanged.
  • Public site (APP): Matches after this limit date will be deleted.
  • PL + APP: If team is set as match responsible team, team will be removed on matches after limit date and match responsible will be set as null.
  • PL: Matches before the limit date will not be changed (not date/time or teams)
    • Matches will be flagged as archived.
    • Matches will be saved in an own datatable for historical use
  • PL: Matches after the limit date will be set as described in chapter "The following will change on matches for the withdrawn team" (see below)

The following will change on matches for the withdrawn team

NOTE: Onlys matches which are not flagged as "Archived" will be influenced.

  1. End time will be set to zero. Start time wil remain unchanged
  2. A vacant team replaces the withdrawn team
  3. If the withdrawn team is home team, the venue will be set to zero
  4. The match status turnes into red. That is, the match will not show up in the visualizer and will not be published (if not overruled)
  5. Match "Changed time" will be set to the time of this change
  6. Match WedID will be set to zero. That is, the match will force to add a new match, with a new ID, in the public schedule site (APP)
  7. If the withdrawn team is away team, the venue will be unchanged

APP consequences

Immideately, when a team is softdeleted or replaced with a vacant team, the public site will change for this league level. No actions are needed from the user.

  1. All matches WITHOUT results for the withdrawn team, will be deleted
    Matches with results will remain unchanged. These matches will not be included in table calculations. 
  2. All deleted matches with results will be flagged, so it is possible to find these deleted matches later
  3. All poinst taken against the withdrawn team, will be deleted
  4. The withdrawn team will be removed from the teams table

Team A is withdrawn - Replaced by another team

Team Lidingö is withdrawn with limit date 09.10.2021

Lidingö is playing several matches, and 3 of the matches are finnished with result. These matches were played before Lidingö decided to withdraw. Referees on these matches are allready paid. Thats why these matches cannot be deleted.

Inside PL, all 3 matches before limit date are flagged as "archived", set to red and will not show up in the visualizer.  The remaining 13 matches (those after limit date), are having the withdrawn team replaced by a vacant team.

Changes in the public view (APP)

Running soft delete on Lidingö with limit date of 09.oct 2021 results in 13 matches deleted on the public web. 3 matches are before this date and thereby not affected at all. BUT: Because Lidingö is withdrawn, none matches against Lidingö will count in the ranking table.

Ranking table in app

Table in APP - "Järfälla Basket" shall be removed from table, none of matches with "Järfälla Basket" shall be included i table ranking. This seems ok.
